The Age of Mortals chronicles a sweeping saga across worlds, beginning with a ragtag band of adventurers opposing Rathwing’s cult, spiraling into multidimensional warfare against an illithid lich, forging uneasy alliances and devastating betrayals, and culminating in a cosmic battle to save existence from a moon-sized mind flayer emperor.

This encompasses the events from the start of the campaign to the pirate raid and subsequent 2.5-year time skip.
¶ Major Events:
- The party first meets in the tavern by Fort Suro.
- Traveling to Allford to meet illiard.
- Fighting Rathwing's cult and the death of Bomb-the-Bear.
- Drakham destroying Alford, and the escape to Saragassa.
- The great Pirate-Raid ending in the death of many of the party's enemies and an epic windfall.
- Os' betrayal and the bounty placed on his head by Krorg.
- The 2.5-year time skip and introduction of Bazvrah.

This season focuses on the rise and fall of the illithid lich Darmuth, ending with his defeat and the discovery of the Well-Of-Many-Worlds.
¶ Major Events:
- The arrival of Darmuth and the death of Krorg.
- Being hunted by Darmuth's pet, resurrecting Freedom, and fighting Frederina.
- Fighting and defeating Darmuth.
- Discovering the Well of Many Worlds and the crack in the sky.
¶ Key Lore:
- Meade, Os's close ally, defeats Frederina at the Oracle's Fortress in Fywick and later retires to open the Three Swishes Tavern in Fywick.
- The party learns of a greater illithid threat beyond Darmuth.
- The devastation vermin (giant insectoid colossi) are introduced during early interdimensional travels.

The party explores new worlds, allies with and betrays major figures, and begins assembling forces against the illithid threat.
¶ Major Events:
- Travel through the Well of Many Worlds to Ereriad, encountering:
- Goat Dicks End and the devastation vermin (city-sized beetles).
- Glaculus, the chill necromancer who refused to join the party.
- Aphir the Mighty - killed by the party/Bane.
- Time chamber constructed for Spoops' blades.
- Phoenix King - killed by the party/Bane with the soul ring.
- Bane (Witch King) rises, forging the Soul Forge and causing the fall of the kingdom of Hellaress.
- Adalynn raises the city from the water.
¶ Key Lore:
- The party sides with Bane over the Phoenix King, inadvertently empowering the Dead Three again.
- Alariel (Phoenix King's daughter) and Kirkegaard lead refugees to Mardun.
- The Bartenders Guild in Fywick begins manipulating adventurers to achieve political goals.
¶ Season 4: Ascension and Destiny

The final season involves interdimensional politics, godly conflicts, and the battle against the illithid emperor.

- Construction of the fleet and factories.
- Githyanki civil war: Party nukes Tu'narath, destabilizing Vlaakith's empire and empowering the Githzerai.
- Spoops and Bane destroy an owlbear planet to harvest souls (moral low point).
- Sun God crisis: Solar dragon's death is manipulated by illithids; party fights sun worshippers in floating bastions (laser ping-pong battle).
- Council of the Gods conflict:
- Gods send Maruts after Spoops for breaking cosmic rules.
- Devil lawyers broker a deal between the party and gods.
- Party proves the illithid threat is greater.
- Final battle against the Emperor and his moon-sized illithid monster.
